  1. This is a tiny hack which stops your Palm V turning on if the hardware
  2. "up" is pressed at the time.  The effective logic goes something along
  3. the lines of:  when the PalmPilot wakes up, if the hardware up button
  4. is down, and an alarm is not being sounded, then go back to sleep
  5. again.

  7. To install Stay Off If Up Hack, hotsync it onto your Palm V first.
  8. Then open Hackmaster, and tick the box next to "Stay Off If Up Hack".
  9. The question mark on this screen will give you more information about
  10. my hack.

  12. I coded this hack together after I noticed that the Palm V would
  13. always accidentally turn on after being in my pocket or the slim
  14. leather case.  What happens is that one of the hardware buttons is
  15. pressed and the Palm V turns on.  But since the up button protrudes
  16. the most, it will be pressed down in all these cases.  This hack
  17. effectively stops the Palm V turning on at all if the up button is
  18. held down.  Unlike other hacks, it still allows the use of the
  19. hardware buttons as per normal.
